If there’s one thing my family likes to eat, it’s pizza. We eat it at home and on the road. I don’t think my kids have ever turned down an opportunity to eat pizza. When my daughter asked if she could host a crazy messy Twister game night using paint and my husband agreed to her crazy request, we knew there was only one meal option….pizza. But we’re tired of the same old low-cost pizza. So I took a look at the Restaurant.com app and found Besta Fasta in nearby Ashland.
Besta Fasta has been around for a long time and I’ve heard they have great food so I bought one of the $25 gift certificates. This meant I needed to spend $50 in the restaurant, but I was feeding a houseful of young adults so I didn’t’ think it would be a problem. I ended up calling Besta Fasta and placing an order for two large 16-inch pizzas- one Deluxe and one with Pepperoni and Banana Peppers. I also ordered a large Italian sub and a 2-liter of Sprite. I was told it would be ready in about 30 minutes so my husband and I drove to the neighboring town to pick up our order. It smelled delicious and the pizza place was hopping when we drove over to pick up our pizzas. A good sign that this is some good pizza.
I used my certificate but was told that they do prefer a printed copy. I guess I was the first to present the app version and they weren’t real sure what to do with it.
Besta Fasta does offer a small seating area with a few tables for those who prefer to meet friends or dine in the restaurant.
We drove our pizza home to a dining room full of hungry people who were eager to eat and get their game going. Everyone really liked the pizza. My daughter even said “That pizza was the bomb!” after everyone had left and we were cleaning up for the night. Though we normally have leftovers when it comes to pizza, we were a bit sad to see it was all eaten. Oh well, at least we found a new pizza place to frequent in the future.
And the kids? It seemed as though Besta Fasta Pizza was just the fuel they needed to play several rounds of Messy Twister.
Besta Fasta Pizza has two participating Restaurant.com restaurants- one in Ashland and one in Savannah, Ohio.
