Planning a road trip through Pennsylvania has never been easier, thanks to the fantastic Roadtrip-a-Matic! With dozens of ready to go, preplanned road trips focused on art, food, shopping, golfing, Civil War history and eerie encounters, there’s something for all interests, all ages and all seasons.
My family lives only a short drive from Pennsylvania’s Western border, and we love roadtrips so I know we’ll benefit from this easy to use trip planner.
I’ve already chosen one of the roadtrips that would be a perfect fit for my family; PA 101, covering Western PA’s Greatest Hits. This trip would lead us on a journey to Pittsburgh where we’d take the Duquesne Incline to the top of Mt. Washington to get the best view of the city. Next we’d visit the Warhol Museum, the largest museum in the US devoted to a single artist, followed by a stop at the University of Pittsburgh in Oakland to view some amazing architectural features before strolling through a historic side of town to shop and grab a bite to eat. Day two would lead us on an adventure a bit further South where we’d eventually make our way to Ohiopyle State Park before experiencing white water rafting in some of the best rapids in the East. I couldn’t have planned a two day trip better myself.
My teenagers are at the age where they love everything creepy and ghoulish so they’re convinced that they’d enjoy Ghost Rides for an autumn spine tingling road trip. I’m not sure that I’m up for haunted hay rides and sleepovers at haunted hotels, but viewing the fall colors along the route that Leaf Peepers suggest would be a great alternative for me and my husband.
Pennsylvania knows how to make trip planning easy. The Roadtrip-a-Matic will suggest what to do, where to eat, where to sleep and provide you with a day by day itinerary. If you like to be more involved in the planning process you’ll find additional resources and links to the local convention and visitor bureaus, an events calendar and extra attractions to extend your getaway.
Though I love to plan roadtrips, sometimes it’s nice to sit back and let someone else do the preparation. After utilizing Roadtrip-a-Matic, all that’s left for me to do is make lodging reservations, pack our bags, gas up the car and hit the road. It really couldn’t get much easier.
Are you planning to visit Pennsylvania this summer? Why not take a look at the Roadtrip-a-Matic and tell me which pa-roadtrips your family would love?
