I’m excited to announce that my daughter Chelsea will now join me as a writer for The Traveling Praters. You’ve seen her photos, heard her opinions through me and now you’ll hear them through her own voice.
As a teen I like to be as comfortable as possible. I also don’t like spending money but I’m not sure if that’s a teen thing or a me thing. So, I shop at cheap places, because I’m cheap. Such as the thrift store, and bargain stores for my comfy travel clothes.
I love finding great deals! One great deal I found was this outfit!
#1. The North Face Jacket
I got this jacket for under $50 at TJ Maxx, Super great deal. This The North Face Jacket is so comfy and warm. It doesn’t take up a bunch of room, either in my suitcase or in the car. Its versatile. I can pretty much throw it on with anything- yoga pants when I don’t care, or a trendy pair of jeans when I do care.
#2. Yoga Pants
I picked up these yoga pants at a thrift store for $.99, again such a great deal. Yoga pants are a must for road trips, or any trip for that matter. At 5′ 9″ , I’m pretty tall so it’s difficult to find yoga pants that are actually long enough for me and don’t make me look awkward or like a total dork.
#3. Shoes
When I’m on a road trip, I have to have shoes that are easy to slip on. I can’t stand to wear shoes in the car. Flip flops are perfect, in most weather. I even wear them in the winter, but not if their is a considerable amount of snow on the ground. I love comfort, but I’m not crazy. I especially love to wear flip flops in air ports. Going through security lines suck and I for one don’t want to spend more time there than I have to. Flip flops are a must when it comes to comfy, inexpensive travel clothes.
What do you think of when you think of comfy travel clothes?

Great outfit – and I agree, you really can’t beat a pair of $0.99 yoga pants!

Since I fly mostly I always were slip on shoes.

You just described my daily outfit but instead of flip-flops it’s Crocs slides unless there is snow.
Tonya says
Yes, flip-flops aren’t ideal for snow. That’s for sure.

I’m all about yoga pants, best invention ever and definitely a perfect travel attire.

Comfy travel clothes are a must – my daughter is 17 and here style is really similar to yours, as a matter of fact she walked out of the house today in an outfit that looked almost just like that!

Hi Chelsea! Glad to see you here 🙂 I pretty much wear the same thing as you do when travelling. Maybe not the flip flops but I do have shoes that I can slip on and off easily so we can get through customs really quickly.
I love my yoga pants! I wear them everyday if I don’t have to leave the house 🙂

Welcome! I pretty much like to wear the same kind of things when traveling. I do have to pack socks in my purse though and I like a good scarf.
