Venice Beach in California

Thanks to Chelsea for another real look at our road trip out west. 

When you think of L.A, what beach do you immediately think of? I think of Venice Beach. I’ve always heard how wonderful it is, and how you absolutely have to go. We decided to go, since its wonderful and all. Immediately after pulling in, we see the Marijuana shop. I don’t know how it slipped my mind, but California is legal. I honestly didn’t think anything of it, not like it would affect me in anyway. After taking a walk along the beach, taking a few cute pictures, my brother and I decided to walk along the boardwalk to see Muscle Beach.

I was expecting to see super muscular guys there, there were a couple guys with six packs, but nothing too crazy. We left probably 5 minutes after getting there. On our way out we see this old guy, literally he was probably 70, SUPER HUGE, like I saw all his veins. So weird.

Not wanting to get back into the car for another 5 hours, my brother and I thought we’d walk the boardwalk a little ways. We passed a bunch of cute shops that I’d probably stop at, if the people didn’t absolutely freak me out. After walking a little ways, I realized I had been smelling this weird smell, for the entire time, I couldn’t identify it. Being the innocent homeschooler I am, I thought it was some weird kind of food or something. But after seeing how mellow everyone was,  I put two and two together and realized it was weed.

The actual beach is so pretty though, so I definitely recommend going to Venice Beach in California. Just be prepared for weird “food”.
