Spring is almost here and with warmer temperatures come family reunions, church picnics and impromtu gatherings with friends. Not to mention several holidays are coming up that call for celebration as well. I don’t know about you, but I fail to plan ahead and at the last minute I often struggle to come up with an inexpensive recipe that I can prepare quickly and dash out the door. Enter this easy ice cream sandwich cake that you, and I, can make in 5 minutes.
Easy 5 Minute Ice Cream Sandwich Cake
Ingredients for an ice cream sandwich cake:
1 package of 12 vanilla ice cream sandwiches
10 Fun-size SNICKERS® Peanut Butter Squares
1 tub of Whipped Topping
1 jar of Caramel Topping
In an 8 x 8 inch square pan spread a thin layer of whipped topping on the bottom of the pan.
Add a layer of vanilla ice cream sandwiches. You may need to cut a couple to make them fit well and fill the pan.
Drizzle caramel topping over the layer of ice cream sandwiches.
Spread out a thin layer of whipped topping over the caramel.
Add another layer of vanilla ice cream sandwiches and layer the rest of the whipped topping on the cake.
Chop the SNICKERS® Peanut Butter Squares into small pieces.
Layer the SNICKERS® on the top of the cake and drizzle with more caramel topping.
And that’s it. Simple enough?
You can serve this yummy ice cream sandwich cake immediately or cover and place in the freezer for 30 minutes until it hardens.
But I feel I must warn you, one piece of ice cream sandwich cake may not be enough- which is why this is a great recipe to prepare and share with others. It doesn’t get much yummier than this.
