Unfortunately, Thirty-One Gifts, Inc. relocated its distribution center in Columbus to Texas and downsized its head office in 2019. This article exists to give you a glimpse of the company headquarters prior to the move. The company announced in October that they would be cease operations by the end of 2024.

Thirty-One Gifts, founded in 2003, is one of the fastest growing direct sales companies in the world. This business, founded in the basement of CEO Cindy Monroe’s home in Chattanooga, Tennessee has flourished in ten short years, producing nearly one billion dollars in sales in 2013. Despite the popularity of Thirty-One Gifts, my knowledge of the company was limited prior to my visit to the home office and distribution center in Columbus.

Thirty-One Gifts: Founded in Faith
Thirty-One Gifts is a faith-based company founded on the principles of Proverbs 31, a bible passage that encourages women to be creative, gracious, compassionate, and hard-working when running their home. The company aspires to celebrate, encourage and reward one another and has 12 core values that guide decisions made at Thirty-One Gifts. These 12 core values are prominently displayed throughout the facility.

Before I Stepped Foot Inside the Home Office
I don’t know what I expected when I planned to visit the Home Office and Distribution Center. It certainly wasn’t the sprawling 100,000 square foot structure that I encountered. Though it’s located in the heart of Columbus’ retail district, the laid back atmosphere with the pond and fountain, bikes to borrow and 12 values painted on the rafters of the entrance as I entered the complex intrigued me.
Stepping through the Revolving Door

I met Sara, public relations manager and my tour guide, in the lobby which is decorated with a gorgeous display of the fall product line, a collection of handbags, totes and organizational items, many of which can be personalized. The patterns and color selections make it easy to mix and match pieces for a trendy, stylish look and new products are introduced seasonally. The beautiful and functional products are ideal for organizing your home, car, office, to use when traveling or to give as gifts. Products are available through a network of 106,000 independent sales consultants nationwide. To find a local consultant, visit www.thirtyonegifts.com.
What Impressed Me About Thirty-One

Business is business, but what impressed me about Thirty-One Gifts is the family atmosphere that is evident in the workplace. The office promotes a laid back atmosphere and employees are able to bring their babies into the office and dogs are welcome as well. Frequent informal meetings are held that sometimes include catching pancakes for breakfast or rocking out to one of the two company bands. Employees are considered family and you’ll find framed photos of the employees and consultants throughout the complex.

Thirty-One Gives Back
One of Thirty-One’s key values is to give back to the communities where employees and sales consultants live and work. In 2012, Thirty-One Gives was founded as a philanthropic initiative that supports nonprofit organizations that empower and support girls, women and families. Thirty-One Gifts has donated more than $36 million in cash and product and this year, one of their current projects is Ronald McDonald Houses.

Join the Thirty-One Team
Thirty-One has provided the opportunity for thousands of women to own their own business and find financial freedom while still spending time with family and doing the things they love. For just $99 plus shipping, they get a complete enrollment kit worth $400+. Consultants make up to four times more than the average person in direct sales.

I may not have known much about Thirty-One Gifts prior to my visit, but I left wondering how I could get involved with this growing company.

Tonya...what a great write up about Thirty-One, Cindy, Scott and the rest of the Thirty-One family. As an Independent Consultant for the past 4 years, this company has certainly changed my life and I can say they "walk the talk". I was able to tour the facility in 2011 and we were greeted by Home Office staff all cheering, thanking us while we were thanking them for our jobs. I can't imagine not having this wonderful and beautiful Thirty-One family in my life. Thank you Tonya for showing the world what Thirty-One is all about.

Thank you for your comment, Heather! I loved the tour and learning what Thirty-One stands for so much that I also became a consultant! I'm thrilled to be part of a company which values the principals I hold dear. :)

I love Thirty-One Gifts! I just learned they were an Ohio company. Are factory tours available to the public or is it just business at the distribution center? Do they offer any kind of outlet store or anything there?

Hi Jill, Factory Tours of Thirty-One Gifts are not available to the public at this time. I was permitted on a media tour but they do offer limited tours for consultants. I really enjoyed the tour and learned so much about the company from touring the office and distribution center! They do not have an outlet store- all sales go through the consultants.
