Enjoying fall colors at Gorman Nature Center.
I’ve been out exploring and enjoying fall colors. I can’t help it.
Fall is my favorite time of year.
I love the smell of the air.
I love the cool temperatures.
I love that I can pull my favorite well worn sweatshirts out of the back of my closet and wear them for another season.
And I love the beautiful fall colors.
Last week my daughter wanted to meet a friend for an early morning jog. I had imagined a lazy morning at home, relaxing and trying to catch up on some sleep after our New York City trip, but when I woke up at 6:10 and couldn’t fall back to sleep, I decided that I may as well join her for a walk.
We drove to one of our favorite nearby outdoor spaces, Gorman Nature Center.
I was so glad that I did.
The view along the trail was amazing and I was happy that I thought to grab my camera as I dashed out the door.
I didn’t see any turtles in the turtle pond, but the reflection of the trees in the water was stunning.
I slowly made my way along the trail and past the pond, enjoying fall colors at Gorman Nature Center, while my daughter and her friend ran ahead.
I tried to snap a few pictures of the birds that were flying around across the trail and into the tall grasses but I’ll need a camera upgrade if I want a decent picture of them in the air.
It’s no surprise that when we returned this past weekend for another round of enjoying fall colors at Gorman Nature Center, we found many people had the same idea.
Did I mention that Gorman Nature Center is a great place to take fall family photos and senior pictures?
Where is your favorite place to enjoy the changing fall colors?

The Smokey Mountains are my favorite place in the Fall, but I am really enjoying my back yard, too.
