I look forward to road trips. If I’m not on one, I’m often planning one or dreaming of one. While some people may dread the idea of traveling in a vehicle for hours at a time and long to jump on a plane to reach their destination, I believe part of the experience is the journey to and from your destination.
Over the years, my husband and I have road tripped to over 40 or the 50 states here in the U.S. and before the year is over, we’d like to visit all but Hawaii. I’ll have no option but to jump on a plane for that one.
One would expect that with all my road trip experience, I’d be an expert when it comes to packing. Honestly, I’m not. Road tripping, as opposed to flying, has spoiled me because normally I can pack whatever I want with little regards to space issues. Instead of learning how to condense my clothing, I’ve learned what luggage, totes, and bags I prefer to use when I travel.
Enter Thirty-One Gifts.
I was introduced to Thirty-One Gifts, a direct sell marketing company located in my home state of Ohio, at a conference four years ago. I’ve even toured their facility in Columbus and attended portions of two of their conferences. I use their products daily and when I’m traveling. I guess you could say I’m hooked on Thirty-One.
But why?
Why Choose Thirty-One Gifts
They are practical, attractive and durable. Thirty-One offers many styles and patterns to help you get and stay organized at home or on the road. Plus, Thirty-One products hold up to the abuse that I dish out day to day and on trips.
A Few of my Favorite Travel Products from Thirty-One Gifts
Fashion Games Purse
My FAVORITE product from Thirty-One Gifts is the Fashion Games purse in Cognac Woods Pebble. I have used this purse exclusively for over a year and a half. It has doubled as my briefcase and carried my laptop on several flights to Atlanta and California and I use it around town as my everyday purse. I love the slouchy style, the roomy interior and the small inside pockets where I can put my phone or keys and not lose them. After near daily use, this product is showing very little wear. Originally this item cost $98 but it’s now available as an online extra for $58 plus tax and shipping.
Glamour Case
The Glamour Case make-up bag is perfect for transporting my make-up and toiletries when I travel. The plastic lined interior protects items outside the zippered case from leaks and the roomy compartment fits everything I deem necessary when traveling. The case also has a zippered compartment for small or potentially messy items as well as a spot to hold my make-up brushes. This product is shown in Preppy Pop but is available in a variety of colors and patterns and sells for $25, personalization is extra.
The Large Utility Tote
I love the flexibility of the Large Utility Tote. I have several large and deluxe size totes and each one serves a different purpose. I use them to store camping gear on outdoor trips, contain my portable kitchen for road trips, and as my suitcase. I can easily pack all my clothes, including my fashion boots, and other necessary items for an entire week in this tote paired with the see-through lid so I can easily see what is stored inside. The Deluxe Utility Tote is larger and has outside pockets. The Large Utility Tote sells for $35 and the Deluxe sell for $50. Several pattern options are available. You can purchase Top-a-Tote see-through lid to complement your tote for $10. Monogrammed personalization of the tote is extra.
The Around Town Tote
I LOVE the Around Town Tote. I took this on a trip to the Smokies with me earlier this week and it worked perfectly. This roomy tote stored my laptop, planner, extra pens, chargers and travel brochures. It easily held everything I needed to sneak out of my hotel room and into the hotel lobby to work at night and I love the Skies for You Pebbles color. It is available in four different colors and many personalization options for $78. Personalization is extra.
Sling-Back Bag
When I’m out with my husband, hiking or taking a local day trip, I normally travel with my point and shoot and DSLR camera. While I have a heavy-duty camera backpack that I pack with my camera gear when I’m traveling, I don’t normally haul it all around for day trips which is why I was excited to receive the Sling-Back Bag. I can store my phone, battery charger, business cards, point and shoot camera and DSLR in this handy bag and hit the road. I recently went hiking with it and loved it. It’s very comfortable and can be worn cross-body or over the shoulder. If the large compartment where I stored my Canon camera was padded, I’d use this all the time as my go-to camera bag for day trips. This bag is shown in Black but is also available in other colors and patterns and sells for $48.
